Abstract

The article is devoted to the work of one of the outstanding singers-vocalists of the musical culture of Kazakhstan from the Musabayev dynasty – Murat Musabayev. His active participation in the musical life of the country greatly contributed to the development of the performing vocal art of Kazakhstan.
Throughout his life, the singer promoted the masterpieces of Kazakh and world music. A great love for music, excellent vocal skills led Musabayev to enter the Alma-Ata State Conservatory by Kurmangazy, where he was enrolled in the class of People's Artist of the Kazakh SSR Beken Zhilisbayev. In parallel with his studies at the university, M. Musabayev becomes a soloist of the Abai Opera and Ballet Theater. His repertoire is diverse and deservedly entered the "golden fund" of Kazakh radio and television. In 1968, M. Musabayev participated in the IV All-Union Glinka Vocal Competition and became the winner of the II Prize.
The singer Musabayev successfully interpreted both classical masterpieces and works of Kazakh composers, coping with the parts of a dramatic, lyrical baritone. For his great services to the country, M. Musabayev received the honorary title of "People's Artist of the Kazakh SSR" on July 14, 1978.
